I just got an automated phone call frome the school telling me that my son was absent today. My wife dropped him off this morning, so i know he was supposed to be there. Seriously that was the longest 5 minutes of my life trying to find out if he was in fact at school.

I doubt it he has got a helluva hydro lab in his closet. He is only seven but he has been reading High Times since he was three.

I totally feel ya. That would be a pretty bad feeling.


Reminds me of the time when that nut job went into a school and hit a little girl with the hammer. Yall remember that? Well, that happened at MY daughter's school. I got a phone call here from someone that'd heard it on the radio. By the time I got to the school, the whole road was blocked off. I left the car in the middle of the road and started running towards the school. It wasn't fun.

Schools should be like a prison now-a-days. Locked down, have to be buzzed in, armed guards.....seriously.

LoL @ kids distressing their parents. I know I've got mine coming to me when I finally have kids - God knows I put my parents through the ringer.

yeah armed guards inside and out. for the freaks outside and the few **** ups inside.

It's a THOUSAND times worse when you're a kid and the teachers **** up. Imagine coming home from school, you were there all day, and here's mom and/or dad with the banhammer telling you you're grounded till summer 'cause you cut school. And try convincing them you were there. "The school called" they say. "We know you were skipping!"

Aaagh. Not fun at all.
