I'm wanting to know what program, if any, anyone is using to "lift" an ISO image and then burn it onto a CD or DVD. Instead of actually reading and recording, this just takes a virtual picture of it and burns that image back onto another medium. Thanks in advance. Later, QD.

Most software that does that isn't free, but I would find/download a good copy of Nero.
Here is a site (http://www.petri.co.il/how_to_write_iso_files_to_cd.htm) with some guidelines as to how to do it and for some software that will burn .ISOs to CDs. As for ripping an ISO, here is a piece of software that will do it: http://isorecorder.alexfeinman.com/isorecorder.htm

alcohol %120 is a good burning program for iso files. Apollo dvd copy is good for taking an image and burning straight to disc.(works best if you have 2 drives), apollo divx to dvd creator is good to convert most media files to iso format. All of these are downloadable(pirated) if you use any peer to peer programs.

Best ISO burner there is. I love it. Freeware, fast, doesn't use a lot of resources.

Nero > all
But yeah it's really easy with Nero just double click the .ISO and it will start burning it for you.
nero i burn iso's all day with it. IF you do run in to any problems with nero the alcohol 120 is the next best thing
