i'm looking at a 00 maxima se...

the main issue is when i accelerate there is basically no kind of power, it feels sluggish. when i'm at a stop sign/light, there is no bucking of any sort and when accelerating, there is no hesitation, so i've personally ruled out fuel related problems...it just doesnt seem to move the way a maxima 3.0 is supposed to and my gas mileage seems to be where its suppose to be 27-29mpg

cliff notes: car is sluggish/lazy upon acceleration, no bucking or hesitation and MPG is fine, whats the problem?

sounds like you MAF is going south. it sound like it not bad enough to throw a code but enough to have driveability problem like accel. ive seen this before maybe time at the dealership. but check the MAF voltage before you put your money on it. i think a new one is like 125 i think.... if remember correctly.

thanks man i HIGHLY appreciate it. i called the service department at two dealerships and checked the maxima forums(finally got a SN name for them) and what you said seems to be the same thing. thanks a ton :D

LoL omg I just saw this thread. Glad to hear that you got it diagnosed. BTW I never see you around at any meets. What color 5th gen do you have and any distinguishing mods?

Always the MAF damn it lol oh and if you've got an AT also do a tran flush if it hasn't been done.
