Hello, looking to buy a new system soon. Heard some good reviews about the type-R series in the Alpine sub department. Which one should I get though? I'm looking to buy two 12'' subs, with a good alpine amp. Which is a good combo for a good kick? Give me a few model #'s for me to check it out. Thanks guys!

hey dude, just by experience my buddy has 2 alpine 12" type R's and they pound... thats the third truck with type R's and everyone has been great quality and thumps hard. they also have a great price for what they are. but thats just from what i have experienced.

What kind of car is it going in and what are you lookn for when it comes to thump? Like what kind of music will you be mostly playing and do you want some major thump or just something to bump to? Type R's are pretty good and I've heard they will last. The Type X's will hit about as hard as a w7, but they don't last for shit.

This system will go into my 97 Accord 2-dr. I'm really looking into type-r's now, but what kind of amp should i get?

ALPINE, DVA-9860R - in dash CD/MP3/DVD

ALPINE, CDA-9855R - CD/MP3 PLAYER with iPOD adaptor

ALPINE (IN-CAR) CDM9823RR

headunits for your alpine subs + amp, if you want the alpine combo.

I second that opinion. Too bad you have no open air between your backseat and the cabin. Also just from experience I had a 94 accord with almost the same setup except I had JL-12W3s Put some Dynamat behind your tag or else that thing is gonna rattle like hell and make sure your grills on the 6x9's in the back are also secure my subs blew the grills out the top of the rear console. Just my 2 cents :)
