The only HID's I would ever recommend is 4100K. 14000K is not brighter, it's just more purple. The following link is extremely helpful:

NO NO NO! REFUND YOUR PROJECTORS BEFORE YOU OPEN THEM!
I had projectors, man! They SUCK! They're made by a company named Sonar, I'm guessing, and if they are...they SUCK! The aim and array of light they put out absolutely sucks! And the glass dome absorbs SO much light...It's not worth the money, and I guarantee in a year you're gonig to be looking for a set of OEM's, again...
Plus, ALOT of projector style lights (aftermarket) will NOT house the HID bulbs as they get VERY hot and melt the plastics...

You betcha! :goodjob:
Just like jfrolang said, 4100k's are the brightest HID setup, which will offer the best visual performance.
My friend has 3000k HID's on his EJ and they are Uber-yellow! They aren't very bright IMO. Don't get me wrong, the HID's always are going to brighter that a 5-year old OEM bulb, but when your driving down a dark road, all those colors really don't help you see any better than OEM Halogen bulbs...;)

My lights are more like $75/pair, dare has a similar set that I sold him.
You have 9005s and 9006s, actually. For a cheap light upgrade modify 9005 bulbs to fit in your low-beam sockets.
EvasiveEF9
12-17-2007, 08:36 PM
You are correct, sir...but I thought it was 05's in the lows and 06's were in the highs?
What kind of modding is required on it? Too cold for me to go out and do research..
jfrolang
12-17-2007, 08:42 PM
the 9005 bulbs are your high beams, 9006 are low. Basically you're gonna modify the 9005 bulb itself to fit in the 9006 socket.

In case you didn't realize, you need EDM headlights to run H4 bulbs in a CRX. JDM SiR headlights use H4H bulbs, which aren't available in the US (ebay is your best option) but you can get the same bulbs I have in H4H, Darryl has a set that used to be mine. If you're staying with US headlights, buy four 9005 bulbs of similar quality and put them in, for the stock headlight super-bright win.
There are two types of EDM H4 headlights BTW, one fits the SiR front end (VT headlights) and the other fits the US front end (ZC headlights). They are all glass like the US headlights (JDM plastic FTL) and you can also get them with power adjustability.
