Im helping a friend put a new cd player in his 2000 honda civic, but its starting to look like you almost have to take everything off, if u have swapped cd players in one id like to know what exactly u have to take off so i dont end up doing **** i dont need to do. +1 for any info

Did you know there was an AUDIO/VIDEO section that would be more suitable for this post? Later, QD.

Take off the panel under the steering wheel (3 screws, 2 tabs). Take off the glove compartment (2 screws). Take off the lower center panel (6 screws). Then there are 4 screws that hold the climate control in place. The rest should explain itself. Pain in the ass, I must've taken it apart 4-5 times when I had my Civic.

Which piece? The panel under the steering wheel is the only piece that needs popping off. This should clear it up for you.
