View Full Version : Help Me Out- 99 civic ex problems

Iv had a lot of work done to my car the past months and i picked my car up from honda yesterday and it ran fine..well 50 miles later..i get these nice codes and my car runs like **** sputters and my check engine light flashes...im thinking my sparkplugs are not correctly gap'd or my dizzy is not in the correct timing location...lmk what you gusy things

P0301- Misfire Cyl 1
P0303- Misfire Cyl 3
P0304- Misfire Cyl 4
P0300- Random Multiple Misfire
P1399- Ignition System or Misfire

Parts iv just had replaced:
OEM Honda Dizzy
Spark Plugs
Fule Pump
Fule Filter
Crankshaft sensor
Main Relay Assembly
Temp Sensor
Speed Sensor
Speed Sensor Pig Tail

ITs prob ditributor related. Check the rotor button and cap, put new plugs in it.

Could also be the Crankshaft pos cylinder

THEY MIGHT HAVE PUT YOU SPARK PLUG WIRE ON THE WRONG FIREING ORDER..

Whats the Firing order on the dizzy for the y8?

On the distributor its 4 3
1 2

And on the motor its 4321
Its self explainitory because the they are longest to shortest, 1 being the longest. Its probably just the distributor needs to be turned, maybe they didnt tighten it all the way and it moved after driving it.

if its not the dizzy. i had this problem on a 96 integra where the fuel pump sucked up some **** out of the tank and got caught in the little filters on the fuel injectors. i thought at first it was a igntion related problem had codes for misfire on 134 cyls. if its not the dizzy or crossed wires check in to this
