What chassis? How much drop does the springs lower the car? I say grab some KYB AGXs at the minimum! They are affordable.

I would suggest u do it..I have a 00 Civic and my drivers front factory shocks went out about 2 years ago. U would rather be safer than sorry...I heard hondas factory shocks are not really good for lowered vehicles...so to be safe, I would do it if I were u...I put KYB's on mine...they work excellent and it doesn't bounce w/ me having the coilovers..before it was a terrible ride

depends on the condition of your shocks right now. if you've been constantly driving over very harsh roads and such, chances are your shocks are already pretty worn. lowering your car will put alot more stress on them and cause blowout.

assuming your shocks have never been replaced, your car is running on 12years. i'd say you go ahead and buy shocks and save the labor money.

YES - with that drop get the shocks. Do it once, do it right.

2.5 is a HUGE drop. If you just want to argue - then don't get them - lol. But I am not green, and have been in the game for a long time man - all I can do is put the food on your plate - can't make u eat it.

if u drop your car that much on stock shock its gonna ride like sh!t no doubt. and its going to blow out your shock pretty soon on that drop. i say just save the trouble of taking the shock back out and just do both the springs and shocks at the same time.

I got Tein/AGX combo on my Miata, I like it. Adjustability of the KYB's makes it fun.

yeah go get the shocks.. I didn't find out one was bad until I had a tire go flat on me because my shocks weren't supporting that side of the car well anymore. I think the votes for u getting shocks win:goodjob: ....doesn't matter how smooth u ride now, they will eventually get worn down...but trust me, u will feel the difference when u get them new

well my view is that if you are going to do the springs... you may as well do the shocks anyway... i mean... you gotta take out the whole assembly anyway, why bother doing it all over again?

Hopefully you didnt buy the couterfeit tein's off of ebay. lol. I would only buy tein's from a dealer. But that should be a good setup. G/L.

I have the tein s tech too, they will give you a pretty decent drop which means your stock shocks can't handle it. I have KYB AGX for it.

the GR2s are stock replacements pretty much, and aren't made to work well with lowering springs... but at least they're new.

True that, make sure you go to the Tein website and they tell you how to check out counterfeits vs the real deal... Lots of folks out there selling the fake Teins... the S tech especially.

On the Tein website, they tell you why you should check... basically with crap springs comes crap performance and maybe, a crapped car.
