I am looking to put a cam in my 5.0. At the moment i have stock heads:( . I am looking at a B-303 cam to run with the stock heads for the time being (until i get some money). I am looking at the B-303 because i want to run a small shot of nitrous later:yes: . What type of power gains should i expect out of the B-303:thinking: ? If you have a suggestion or know of a better cam to run with a 5.0 with stock internals please let me know.:ninja:

thats a pretty decent cam, most of the power is in the higher rpm's though(4+) so with a 6k redline, you're not really working with much. look into the f cam

Is there any reason you want to use a letter cam? There are better ones out there. Those are kind of outdated. If you insist on a letter cam and you're wanting to spray it, get an e-cam. The profile of that cam is more nitrous friendly. But to answer your question, you can use stock components with either one of those, but I highly recommend getting rid of the stock springs, and retainers. I don't know of any hp#s. I've never wanted to get disappointed with putting a stock engine on a dyno.

tfs stage 1 would be a good choice. Here is a link to one at a good deal. Just remember to do something about the stock valve springs and retainers. I would even consider taking the heads off, and having some work done on them. I've done a few sets of e-7s, and they turned out pretty well considering they're a stock head. I could probably do a set for you for a reasonable price.
