I don't know if it's the right section or not. Can be moved...

I'm gonna buy someone in my family one of these for Christmas, but have no idea what to look for, good prices, etc...

Does the frame have to be the same brand name as your camera?

I'd like to spend around $70 at the most but want a decent one.

Advice?

Just like with any lcd monitor, the more you spend the higher the resolution. I picked up a fairly cheap 7 inch one from Radio Shack for my dads bday this year, and it was around 60 bucks I believe. Not super high resolution, but it was nice enough! I wouldnt mind having one myself. But remember as with all new tech gadgets, they go down in price over the years. Go to the stores yourself, they have them setup. Look for features like the types of memory cards it can use, AC adaptor/battery power, etc. A lot of places like CC and Best Buy have reviews you can also read online.

No the frame doesn't have to be the same brand as your camera, just be able to accept whatever your storage media is.

Also, please don't double post. If you want I can delete the other thread, but we don't need two saying the same thing. ;)
