Ok I need a question answered and quick... I have a CX hatch with a Y8 in it. Now the only code im getting is the 41 (Primary Oxygen Sensor - Heater circuit malfunction). I went on rewire. com and bought the CX VTEC and o2 sensor harness bc the CX has 1 wire o2 and i need 4 wires o2 to run on the p28. Now I have a 4 wire o2 that is OBD2 will it work or would I need to get a 4 wire OBD1 o2? They look the same, but I was told they have diff part numbers? Anyways today I installed the rewire harness and still got the code 41 still. So, I cheked not once nor twice 4 times and all was well done. Now could it be my o2 or what?

obd2-1 converted cars use the obd2 o2 w/o any problems so i would say your issue is:
1. o2 is bad. is it a new one?
2. wiring is bad. check and double check your installation.
3. ecu is bad. try ecu in another car w/o any codes to see if you still get o2 code.

i can socket/chip the ecu to disable the code if you wished. let me know if i can help further.

yeah probably just a bad o2 if everything is wired right... the difference in part numbers just has to do with the difference in length between the years...
