The answer is so obviouse.

A man was found murdered on Sunday morning. His wife immediately called the police. The police questioned the wife and staff and got these alibis: The Wife said she was sleeping. The Cook was cooking breakfast. The Gardener was picking vegetables. The Maid was getting the mail. The Butler was cleaning the closet. The police instantly arrested the murderer. Who did it and how did they know?

The Butler. The only person that really cleans out the closet is Feminem. And we all know that Feminem is hood enough to murder someone. Later, QD.

Yes, it was the maid. Bastards think you're real smart huh?

Ok, then what is as light as a feather, but no man can hold it for long?

Yup, the maid. Easy.

Is it really that easy? I have some info that you may not have thought about but that is right in front of you when you read that scenario.

"A man was found murdered on Sunday morning."

Right there. One key word can negate your "easy" choice. That word? Found. He was found on Sunday. Didn't say he was murdered on Sunday. Only the coroner will know when he was murdered. The mail runs on every day of the week other than Sunday. The maid could have been out getting the mail from Saturday or the previous few days. Even if he was shown to be murdered on Sunday, the maid isn't the obvious choice as still, she could be collecting mail from the previous day.

So there. Later, QD.

Just a few ideas.

1) If he wasn't murdered Sunday, he was most likely murdered late Saturday night. The wife would have realized he didn't come to bed that night or someone else would have found him during the course of the day on Saturday. So we can assume late Saturday/Sunday morning.

2) If the man is wealthy enough to hire a cook, butler, and permanent maid, you can be assured the man wouldn't stand to have the maid not get the mail when it came. She obviously disliked him enough to kill him.

being as it's a riddle. the answer is obviously sunday in this horrible riddle. there's not enough information to come to a proper conclusion. He was FOUND on sunday.. ok? when did he DIE? what if the maid forgot it was sunday and just went to check the mail. there's too many factors to just key out one person for checking the mail and going OH! IT WAS THEM! how bout they do some real investigative police research and find a murder weapon or evidence. Brainless cops.
