I had a tranny shipped to me from NY.
He put it in a box wrapped it in a trashbag put it in newspaper and then mailed it with UPS.
That seemed to work.

you could just a box but the best bet would be to have it crated, a lot of shipping stores offer the service but i dunno what your budget is and who's paying for the shipping

put it in a box and go to the post office and say, " i need to ship this tranny." "here is all my money"
that's all you have to do:)

get a small pallet and bolt the tranny to it. Use plywood to make some side walls with 2x4 corners. Screw/nail it together and Call Highway Freight at (800) 363-9621

They have cheap shipping prices and you can drop it off at the terminal in Atl. Buyer just has to pick it up at a business or the terminal closest to him.

go rent me a truck, pay for my gas, put the palet in the back, and give me 10 cents a mile for shipping it for ya.
