When you put on bigger rims I know the speed sensor doesn't read it right and will be off by some precentage. How do you change it to reads perfectly, like you still had stock wheels on it?

Use this to figure out what the difference is: http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html

most the times for more popular vehicles a lot of companies sell little electronic boxes that you can plug in to set speed right, or most handheld programmers (diablo, hypertech, etc) can do it too.

It'll be 15" rims on a 00 civic. And it'll be off by about 6%, but I want my speedometer to read it correctly.

Didn't find any good looking 14" ones. And the drop that I'll be doing would make my bumpers and bottom end scrape till they die or just come off as I attempt to leave my driveway.

Not the tires, the rims.

Not the tires, the rims. What does the wheel have to do with improper outside diameter of the tire? You can put a 17" wheel on there and still be within 1/10ths of the correct diameter...if you choose the correct tire.

I'm not asking if it will fit, I just want to know how to fix the speed sensor from reading the wrong speed.
