ok i was changing my engine on the 240. and when i was changing the engine i took it out with the tranny, and after i put it back in, when i was putting the clutch cylinder on, i accidently pulled out the slave rod and all the fluid came out, and now my clutch padel just falls throught. what do i need to do? to get it back up? do i have to pump it or drain it and re-fill?

well if your fluid came out, you might wanna re-fill and bleed the system. it cant operate without fluid.

dude im not a dumbass i know that i have to re-fill it. i just know that some clutches you just have to drain untill there is no air but others you have to bleed. just didnt know what i got to do with this one...

but why is it when i tried to bleed it.... when i pump it a lil and i let go of the pedal, all the fluid comes back up... shouldnt the master cylinder block it off?

To bleed the system you either need two people or speed bleeders. You close the bleeder valve on the Slave, pump the clutch, then hold it down. Open the bleeder, then close. Pump the clutch. Repeat. Make sure you don't run out of brake fluid, or you'll be doing it again.

I thought there is a difference since there are both brake fluid and clutch fluid in the same store, but I could be wrong...
