Who's using ARP headstuds??

if anyone has used ARP headstuds on a LS/VTEC what is a good final torque spec ,some say just to use OEM torque spec,and about the 2-3,000 mile should i
re-torque them,will it be bad to just leave as it is??:thinking:

I don't know about hondas but i have them in my mk3 supra torqued to 74lbs... Supposidley they don't have to be re-torqued... We checked mine about 6 months (1500-2000 miles) after install and they hadn't budged... Still holding strong 2 years and 20,000 miles later.

i used them on my poor mans type r setup ppl say they dont have to be re-torq

Torque them to what arp says, not the manufacturer. It isn't the point of how tight they are, but you are trying to achieve optimal bolt stretch. The manufacturer torque spec will be different from arp. You don't have to re-torque them either.

i have them on my d16 and i set it to oem.... seams fine to me but haven't cranked the engine yet

i have built several LSvtecs, i always torque to 70, just about all of the headstud companies say 70, i havnt seen any that were different for these motors which is usually the GSR head studs. Some go to 80 But i have had great luck so far with 70. I dislike my ARP's, I made the switch to try them coming from aebs and golden eagle studs and i never had to retorque those, when i went to retorque my arp's, they turned. Bleh.
