I am curious cause my sister in law is looking at a house thats worth well over 200k for 170k but I guy killed his ex-wiffe and himself in the basment with a gun about six months ago. It kinda freaks me out and my son might one day go over there to play. I really dont like the idea but was just curios peoples thoughts on this subject. Would you buy or live in a house the people have died in or were killed in?

I personally believe in Ghosts, and hauntings, and it'd freak me out something serious. So hell no, I don't care if I got the entire house blessed by my priest, it's not happening. Period, end of story.

depends on the murder or how the person died. if an old man just passed away, sure...

in your case...i dunno. like some1 said above, depends on the deal. post a picture of the house. and they only knocked off 30k for a homocide/suicide house? damn.

Only if I'm the one that killed the people in it. I don't like living in other people's crime scenes, I'll never really feel at home.

I would.

Infact my parents house we got for a killer deal becuase it was way underappraised ($150,00 worth about $200,000). And when they bought it the owner died from Hep C. He was in the middle of a divorce too so crap was completely insane and took us 3months from the original closing date to get the home. Lots of legal stuff to sort through. He didn't die in the house but was found unconcious in there and died in the hospital a few days later.

I don't believe in Ghosts in the walking Spirit sense. But possibly from Superstring Theory in which they can't harm you. But for whatever reason I'd still be freaked out if I went through a supposedly Haunted House.

Whats not to like, its a house for a killer deal. I would be more worry about sexual predator, than the dead.

I am going to pray for your kids, b/c if this is the kind of stuff you worry about then god bless them

I honestly would try and see if I could get the house for another 20k off of it

The house I live in an old lady died in her bed in. LOL

My neighbor across the street has had three people kill/be killed in the house they rent now.

Also, another neighbor up the street died of alcohol poisoning in his living room and laid there for four days before someone came looking since he lived alone.

hell yeah, its not like a ghost is going to come back and haunt you or beat em up. may haunt it, but that would just be cool. and im sure there are alot of places someone has died and that people are living in. when i lived in somerset in conyers a guy drank himself to death one night (kinda sucks cause i was outside that friday night talking all crazy telling me he had $500 in his pocket and i could rob him so easily, and i should come over and hang out that weekend. so i almost feel like its my fault), in the apartment below mine and they didnt find him til that next monday or tuesday. by time i moved out it looked like his apartment was being rented back out.

It's only an issue when you know it - there are prob many people living in crime scene houses and don't even know it. No big deal really - depends on how much of a wuss and superstitious u are. U see crosses beside the road all the time - do u travel a diff way to work b/c of it? It's only as weird a situation as you make it out to be.

You actually have to watch out for ancient Indian burial grounds. That's where the real spirits live.

The house I am living in now, the owner before the last got killed. Her daughter was dating a black boy, and her mom did not approve. The daughter and her b/f planned together, and she opened up the front door when he knocked one day and he beat her with a baseball bat, then stabbed her. Don't know what happened to the daughter, but the guy is still in jail.

But yea, so i would buy a house someone died in

Brandon C
11-26-2007, 09:16 AM
It gets better they turned dowen there offer as it is a bank selling the home. Plus the guy Killed his ex-wife in the basement then went up to the master bedroom and killed himself. So my sister in law put in a higher offer as it is a 4900 sq.ft. house with like 2 acres of land. But the house does need some work.

you know how many hundreds of thousands of homes people have died in? i dont see it as being a big deal because those people cannot come back to hurt you or your family.....

id buy the house, yes. if **** started getting weird, for whatever reason, if just sell the house, extract the equity and find another deal on a home....

I'm not a big believer in ghosts and I do not pay the stuff any attention but when I was younger and living in Alaska a neighbor right across the street strangled his wife then put her under the house in the basement.

Nobody knew about it for over a month so you can imagine what it smelled like, I think that is the reason nobody moved in for a while BUT I swear when the house was vacant I would look over there at night and there would be one light on with someone walking around.

Wouldn't care to live in a house with that kind of history, not for fear but just knowing what went on there.
