Im not saying i need an engine swap, but as you all may or may not know, ive got a new project car, and it needs an engine. I was kinda wondering, how long would it take me to put a D16 engine in it,5 speed tranny, and 2 axles...??
I read in a Honda engine swaps book, that if the person knows what they're doin, it should take about a day or less to get done and running. is this true??

If you're serious about working on a car buy the factory service manual or at least a Haynes repair manual. They tell you step by step what to do.

Ya wish a swap went that fast on my car. Ive seen like 3-5 guys put a twin turbo engine in, in like 15 hours and thats considered fast. Others like a week. But a honda could be done in a few hours.

Depends wat swap it is.
If its a D series to D series with no vtec involved, 2 hours -4 hours depending on how lazy i am.
If its a B series, with VTEC figure about a 6-8 Hours.

I swapped my jdm gsr into my teggy in about 5 hrs, but I had a couple of challenges along the way, aka the bull**** pin on the shift linkage sucks, adjusting valve lash kinda sucked, and for some reason priming the clutch was a bit of a hastle. But that was a weird occurance, finally found out my bleeder screw was cross threaded and was leaking.

You do it for a living, im sure youre faster than i am.
I just know how long it too me to swap my CRX and my EG hatch (i dont think you were around for both of those).
THe GSR swap i just did took me a solid day once all the parts worked (DONT BUY AVID SHIFT LINKAGES).
