Short Shifter Hitting Heat Shield

I recently install a DC Sports short shifter into my 99 EX. Its rubbing against the head sheild a little bit. Its not too bad bt its noticeable. Especially whenever i am crusing in 4th or 5th gear. Did i forgot to install something? i made sure all the pieces were put back the same way i took it out..cna't seem to find out what it s

my 97 civic and 95 civic both did that. dc sports hung down too low and hit the exhaust pipe. didnt care too much for it.

il never get a short shifter again, they grind easier, can be stiffer, and sometimes its hard to tell where you are shifting into. thats my experience with them.
