I am, its suprisingly not TOO bad...My 2002 IS300 was $275 a month full coverage with Liberty Mutual, I'm switching to Progressive and they are "only" charging $385 a month full coverage for a 94' supra...to ME its worth it

So I didn't get the car...

its pretty irritating that I would get my hopes up and all and even post on here about it. Everything looked promising I even drove the car over to the bank, but he was apparently behind on his car note, his house note and had a negative balance in his account, even with the money that I would be transferring to there bank they still wouldn't release the title because he owed far too much money.

BUT, here's the good news!! They may be repossessing the supra! So I plan to stay in contact with the bank to see when they hold auctions. If so I may be able to get it cheaper. so overall yesterday kinda sucked but I've still got hopes..

Wow what a suprising twist. Who knows if the bank takes it and auctions it off you might be able to get a better deal on it (depending on how much you were going to pay).

But you never know, if I was the guy and I heard they were going to repo my modded single'd Supra, i'd hide it at a friends house or something.

Goodluck

wouldnt you go to jail for something like that??

Mdeezy
11-22-2007, 10:04 PM
Actually no. they would basically continuously try to repo the car, some one might be watching the house, tow truck circling their neighborhood, looking up their records driving by at work and see if the car is their and haul it away. Exhausting work to hide the car especially if its his DD but cant be done. Sadly I know from someone close to me who has/had done it (they never got their car)

WHy would you try and hide the car from the bank? That just speaks worlds about the the type of person you are if you can't own up to the fact you cannot pay your bills. That sucks that you did not get the car man, I would keep in touch with the bank for sure and and the guy, if they repo the car, call em and offer to buy it out right then. All they want is money, the less hassle they have to go throught to get it, the better.

for those in the situation its usually a little more complicated than just giving the car back. Especially if its the only vehicle, and needed to get to and from work etc. Atlanta can be a good place to live but imagine getting around with no car... not the same as being able to jump in turn the key and go. Of course im sure this will do a number on ones credit so its not like they will really get away with is scott free.

In the case of the supra Im just assuming the person might be stubborn about giving the car up so easily and could escalate in the situation I was describing.

Hopefully you can keep touch with the bank and buy it from them at the same price or better.

keep us posted.

Maybe now you can get it cheaper if they repo that car. And keep searching on in insurance man.. I think 385 a month for a supra is insane depending on your records.

I pay for my 04 c5 and 06 Solara 190 a month full coverage..

good luck, And dont post owner of bank info on here.. hahahah someone may try to snatch it.

actually, they may not auciton it. they may just flat out sell it to you. a lot of times banks don't really like messing with going through the fuss of auctioning out things. about 2 yrs ago a bank sold me a 95 es 300 in perfect condition... i mean it was beatiful. it had a 103k miles leather and everything. i took it by the local lexus and they had all the records on the car..everything ahd been serviced through them at that very location. carfax was clean. they were asking for like 4.5-5k...but they sold it to me for 3.5k.

trade-in value today on that car just how i got it is:

Condition Value Excellent
$4,200
Good
$3,775
Fair
$3,075
