Alright, since a good bit of people's cars are up and running, why not get a good daytime meet with some fast cars? It's been attempted before but no one ever follows through.

The weekend after this coming weekend should be plenty of time to make arrangements to meet up. The location can be disclosed when we meet up in person.

We can meet at the downtown Varsity on December 1st and we will drive well outside of the Atlanta city limits. This is the most central location to most and access to 3-4 different spots depending on which way we want to go. We have 3-4 cameras ready to video, we just need cars. Maybe a photoshoot, grab lunch and do some runs.

I know Thrust and LEAVINU wanted to meet up for our runs next weekend, so maybe we can get some more cars together.

Would be nice to see some of the faster cars out there such as: Lightspeed, Hunter02SS, LEAVINU, b0ki, Retro, Thrust, Lankhoss, 03CobraAV8R, Hydroshutter, champ_coupe, Z U L8R, TurboDave. I'm sure I'm forgetting some so forgive me if your name isn't listed.

The reason I listed the meet spot in an open forum is because it's central to everyone and we can access all major interstates from there to go to the undisclosed location.

I'm sure some 12sec modded Evos, STis, turbo Hondas, and 240s could fill in some of the gaps between the faster cars racing.

This is looking promising guys. Even if no other cars meet up it should still make for some awesome videos.

Wow....answers for everything. How's about this: When others bash you for street racing, don't make up excuses about how it's safer because you do it this way and this way. When there is a thread about some kid getting killed street racing, don't come into the thread talking about how he was an idiot because he doesn't street race like you do.

I have done my fair share of street racing and I'll do it again if I feel like it. I just choose to not be a hypocrite about it. I don't give excuses on why it's better for me to do it than anyone else not in my group of street racing pals. It's never SAFE and there is ALWAYS the risk of hurting or killing someone. So just don't try to justify how you and your friends do it. That's my point.

You are missing the point. I don't care what your reason is for why when you do it it's better. I also know how dangerous "life" can be.

THE POINT IS: Some people in this thread always talk about how stupid person so and so is in the AJC for street racing and killing someone. Then when they get called out on their street racing activities, they have an excuse on why they do it better. If this meet does go down, I really hope everyone comes prepared. As I understand it, this is supposed to be a good display of everyone's performance. Everyone has had plenty of time to get good tires, fill your bottle (and provide a way to heat it,) buy race fuel, get the car tested and tuned...whatever needs done. It will be really disappointing to hear a lot of "my bottle is cold/empty, I was spinning, I didnt get tuned, Im on low boost/pump gas," whatever, whatever. I realize these may even be true and unavoidable problems, because thats the unfortunate reality of heavily modified cars, but please dont use them as excuses if you dont perform as expected. The point is to have fun and RUN WHAT YOU BRUNG.

Having said that, Ill probably end-up blowing my sh1t up tomorrow while tuning it on spray LOL, or have problems myself... Ill just try not to whine about it if I do :D

How can we go to jail? City of Atlanta may show up but we're driving to 1 of 4 different places well outside of the city limits. The original meet is the Varsity, all of the computer-generated, completely fictional street racing will not take place in Atlanta. If there are any videos of racing, it will be completely fabricated, completed on a closed-course or be taking place in Mexico.

I doubt 5 GSPs are always parked at the downtown Varsity at 11am on random Saturdays of the month waiting for some car guys to show up.
