Location of the door ajar sensor in the hatch for a 97 civic hatch

hey ya'll -- so suddenly in my ek (97) hatch, the 'door open' light comes on and off depending on the day, haha -- I looked all around the hatch and can't find any normal door switch to show that the door is open

anyone know where it's located? is it some how attached to the locking-hook mechanism?
