You have a b16, so go with a garrett gt2860rs or a gt2871r.

What kind of car do you have? And exactly why you wanted a GT series turbo? And if you do have a B16, I heard FF cars with BB turbo is not as good as you would have no traction. I heard this from a guy with a turbo'ed Teg.

Your question is confusing..I think you misunderstood the terms completely so here are some quick answers. Hopefully you will be enlightened.
t3/t4 refers to the turbo itself (t3 flange with a t4 housing)
gt refers to the wheel trims.
So therefore how can anyone in the world answer your questions if you didn't ask the question properly.

The OP has absolutely no clue what he's talking about... there's a lot to learn.
To be more specific, t3/t4 refers to the turbine housing being t3 and the compressor housing being t4.

ok. ill try this agian. compare a GT55 to a GT12.
you and i both know that one is by far, bigger than the other. what would be the same as a t3t4 but a GT model. like, the same size compresser, housing, etc.
what has the same specs as a t3/t4 in GT terms? or what is the same size as a t3/t4?

Most GT turbos ARE t3/t4's...aka "hybrid" turbos. The difference is all in materials and technology. In order to say your turbo is similar to a _____(gt2860, for example), there's other information that needs to be known. Both wheel specs, A/R and Trim would be excellent.

wow....look dude....the question you are asking is the same thing as asking "whats the equivelent of a sports car in 2 door coupe terms" there are tons of t3/t4 hybrids out there. we would need specs on the t3/t4 you have..trims, a/r's, there is alot to a turbo. t3/t4 is a very very general term

To repeat what most have already said, there are MANY version of the T3/T4 turbo, which one do you have? What are the specs on your turbo?
Then compare it to here: http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/catelog/Turbochargers/turbo_comparison_sheet.htm (Note: I can't get this page to work with Mozilla Firefox but works fine with IE)

IF by GT turbos you mean Ball Bearing, then no most of them are not hybrids, Most of Garretts Ball Bearing turbos have matched compressor and turbine wheels. They are designed to work together, they aren't just slapped together.

?????
GT aren't ball bearings..GT is the NEW designation for the wheel trim line made by GARRETT..The older turbos made by GARRETT are usually referred to "T" series (i.e. t66, t70, etc..) It is a marketing gimmick. Only when there are the "R" designated at the end does it identify the turbo as ball bearings.
As for "hybrid", that is referred to as t3 turbine housing coupled with t4 compressor housing hence a hybrid turbo. That also is a marketing gimmick whereas before you can only get straight t3, t4, and even t2 turbos.

hmm, I thought all GT are all ball bearings and the T series were the non ball bearing ones. i may be wrong though...
