well the past times has been a guy named Doug Lewis (NEVER GO TO HIM!!) he owns Ford Performance Source near Six Flags. my car has popped a few times after he has tuned it. I was going to go to MPH but i'm gonna go with my boy's (goinfasterthanu) suggestion with a fella named Ed at Balanced Engineering. tunes SCCA cars and almost anything else. Has tuned GFTU's car numerous times with ZERO problems.

^^^hmmm 250 an hour x 2 = 500 bucks or go to some1 who tunes SCCA race cars, LeMans GT cars, has an amazing rep espically since my boy has a H22hatch running 13's flat w/o nitrous and never had a complaint ever...for $150 an hour? MPH is a rip off. once i purchase a laptop i'll tinker with my own car. it's going to cost me like 2g's to get the car back running so 500 vs $150....big difference

I've been thru a few motors. One of them was my fault, 2 of them were the tuners fault. One of those times was with a stock motor so cant blame him to much. But Builder me most of the time. This time will be Me and Scotts Machine Shop, installer: Me again, tuning: will NOT be Doug Lewis. We'll see how it goes.

I could understand that if he was catching up but he wasnt. He also lost to a 96-98 Cobra that had just exhaust and i think gears. :thinking: He didn't say that he lost traction or miss shifted either. Just that he couldnt catch up. Unless he was standing on the brakes instead of the gas, i don't think there was much driver error in the race. Speaking of driver error, I missed 3rd on the first race and still kept pulling ahead after finding the gear I wanted. :(

He didn't even seem sure which SC he was going to go with. Even with a lower cr, he still should have been able to somewhat keep up. My car isn't that modified, just typical bolt ons minus headers.

well you know us s197's are SOHC. So, you cant really hear the "cams". I bet he didnt have cams. I'm at 8.8:1. 9.5 is retarded....he'll have no power but at least he'll be ready for boost.
