kate and i when we were in New Orleans last inquired about a piece of art that i really likee and the lady introduced us to the rest of the pieces by the artist: Raymond Douillet they exclusively handle his work. well we got an invite for the month of oct to come to a private viewing w/ the artist, i'm stoked!!! :D

man New Orleans is home to many great unknown artists....you should make a trip out to Seattle, at the Public Market you can find 100's of great paintings, pictures, etc for next to nothing and actually talk to the artist.

i normally collect dali lithos i have quite a few in my collection, but this one just caught my eye and i really liked it... its called "jack the ripper" and they wanted like 6-7,000$ for it... it is an amazing piece in person.

ya 6-7k on an art piece is alittle $$$, but this isn't a litho this is an original and 6-7k now isn't bad considering the price will be quite higher when the guy is dead. i looked at some original Dali's when i was down there last and the cheapest i found was 20k... that is what i really want, but a really nice one. One day i'll own one.
