Dragonball Z Live-Action Movie in Production

Twentieth Century Fox is finally moving forward with a live-action adaptation of the hugely popular manga "Dragonball," casting the stars of the movie and setting a release date of next summer.

Justin Chatwin is starring as the hero while James Marsters will play the villain in the sci-fi adventure, which will be directed by James Wong. The movie has been penciled in for a worldwide release date of Aug. 15, 2008. Stephen Chow, the filmmaker behind "Kung Fu Hustle" and "Shaolin Soccer," is producing.

Production begins later this year. Other major roles are currently being cast.

heh never saw the series was too slow. but had all the original 52 manga from japan. in fact i believe i was one of the first to get the 52nd manga. have a friend who works up at jump who hooked us up. was fun. but that was like 1991

but yeah that actor can pull it off. if he buffs up. if you cut his facial hair he does have the facial structure for it.

I was an avid collector of the video; I have the Android Sagas all the way to the Buu sagas on VHS :lmfao: I have all the GT sagas on DVD *thank god*, but what really pissed me off was when they had the nerve to drop the Lost episodes and I was like :eek: are you fawk'n serious :no: so I only bought 2 of those to see that it only had up to about 4 mins of missing footage from the regular episodes and didn't purchase anymore. DBZ will always be my first love, but I had to move on to something I felt was better i.e Bleach FTMFW and Naruto Shippuuden (regular Naruto sucks until you get to this one imo)

Good to see someone who also likes the Naruto Shippuden, I can't to catch that and the new episode of Bleach. Bleach is raw :2cents: , like any other anime you can't simply start where everyone else is and expect to understand whats going on, but I would recommend Bleach to anyone who had the patience to watch DBZ could in fact watch this and love it.:ninja:

but it gets interesting once they go th the other world, reached Bankai, then all these crazy stuffs started to happening.

And then the funny thing about that would be that Frieza never came to Earth until his father put him back together to find Goku and then they were both defeated by future Trunks...... so far it looks like this movie is on a one way trip :lmfao:

Ahhhhh Omega Shenron, he was in fact the strongest of them all. Baby really got his power by being a parasite and amplifying the hosts power, but even he could distinguish who were the weaklings amongst the Saiyans, which is why he chose to stay inside of Vegeta.


Now that Omega Shenron battle was the most intense besides Super 17. All of the reminiscing is about to make me blow the dust off the dvds and watch them :lmfao:


Which brings up an interesting question, If anyone remembers what happened to the kids that were in fact descendents of both Goku and Vegeta, because they both fought at the World's Martial Arts Tournament and then they disappeared until they made the Hero's Legacy, but after that I lost interest? :ninja: :ninja:
