View Full Version : Misc Wedding Gift Ideas
I got a wedding to go to this weekend and I need some ideas for a gift. I've no idea what to get them and there's no list from them that I'm aware of.
Anyone got any good ideas?

Check with them and see if they are registered somewhere. Everyone usual has a place they have a gift registry available to look at. Doesnt matter if they are out of state, its stored in a main server.

just give them money (best gift for newly weds).. or a gift certificate to target.. they will have the freedom to pick exactly what they want :)

Get them a candle set and some nice glass ware or go to bed bath and beyond and ask them to help you find something

When I did construction, we had newly weds all the time with big money on their home depot gift cards. The girls seemed to like it because they could pick out what they wanted and let us install whatever it was.
How well do you know these guys? Thought about making a basket of awesome "wedding night" stuff? IE, boxes of condoms, lube, little sex books, hand cuffs... all that stuff in a fun basket.
If you dont know them so well... doesnt block buster have things you can buy that you can rent unlimited movies for one month straight? Maybe that would be cool for a gift.

I thought about that, but it just feels so...cheap. :/ most couples get their "real" gifts at the wedding/bridal shower or from family.. seriously you can't go wrong with money :)
drew and i went to his cousins wedding and i made a basket of misc. things on their registry.. we got there and walked into the reception and found one or two "real" gifts and a box for cards/money..
everyone gave money.. and here was our random basket of goodies on their table... alone lol..

they all had a meeting on the mound and instead of talking about the game.....
Larry: Okay, well, uh... candlesticks always make a nice gift, and uh, maybe you could find out where she's registered and maybe a place-setting or maybe a silverware pattern. Okay, let's get two! Go get 'em.
