If you're looking to get out on track and drive, I'd strongly recommend a NASA track day over a SCCA PDX.

Yes did the PDX, and honestly liked it a LOTTTTT more then the NASA events I have done. SCCA FTMFW. Well ran, well instructed, all great people. I always had a LOT of issues with NASA. HPDE might be more track time, but SCCA can lead to better things.

Great choice, man. As much as I love Miata's, I must say that since it's purely stock, you must de-sissify it first or at least get rid of it's stock wheels. You must add something onto it to gain the "manly status" back from owning one. They are a hoot to drive, but being a real man driving a stock Miata longer than a month = :gay:

Once again, congrats

Roll-bars always look bad-ass.

A bolt on hardtop is the best visual mod a Miata can take, then dual beam headlamps for the flip up models is next :)

I was gonna get a hardtop, till I drove topless lol.

11-14-2007, 11:17 PM
yeah, my Mom's mustang vert is nice topless but that was only being in it for about a month after we got it, it was the first convertible I've ever ridden in and the experience is nearly orgasmic for the first few times but it's really not all that it's cracked up to be once you get past that "I owna convertible high, especially if you like music. However a topless miata doing twisty runs would be a lot more fun that a v6 slush stang. I'd just prefer a hard top if I owned a Miata. to each is their own.

Elbow
11-14-2007, 11:19 PM
Well yeah I would get a hard top asap if I had no bar, but a Miata with quite a bit of mods, roll bar, race seat, topless is just too much fun. Especially in the twisties

I just read in the aspire forum that you hit a dear... Sucks, but it sounded like you were ready to move on. I really need some aspire brakes, but I already bought the rear beam. You going to hook me up?
