Jesus H. Christ, how long do I have to ****ing sit on ****ing hold until you answer my god damn call!?!? That's just retarded, I've been on hold 20minutes so far! Thank ****ing GOD I'm not in a hurry...

And what's funny is you know how they have a voice that's like "please hold"
That voice keeps changing...so I keep thinking they're answering. But they're not...

At least it's ****ing relaxing music....god damnit...

I asked them if I could borrow their laser surgery machine, but they said they didn't have one? Bastards...I think they're lying...

Sure enough, though, as soon as I post this, they answer. So then I talk to the dude for like...a whole minute, and he puts me back on hold. I was like "WTF!"

*sigh*

I hate insurance companies of any kind...

Yeah, I'm not too happy with them...but I mean all in all they're decent...

I had planters warts on my foot...they tried freezing those sumbitches for like 12 months before I finally said it's bull****, I want something else. They put me through for a candida shot...so I got a shot in my toe, and another shot between the toes. That sucked...and sure enough...didn't do anything. So then laser surgery. Took 72 shots of laser for one round, 69 shots the second round... Now I have one resurfacing, and I'm about to go to boot for 13weeks for USMC. And they're like "oh, well, we can't get you in til at least february...but we can't schedule you because that calendar isn't even open yet"

...bastards...

PS - CRXChic...why haven't you shown your face in the EF Squad?

Hmm...I may have to check into them... I'm sick of Kaiser (plus my coverage with them is about to be dead, LoL)

Then again...while I'm active duty...I don't have anything to worry about :lmfao: Sign my life away, and they gave me a t-shirt, and coverage while I serve. SWEET!

Which is why I'm buying my guns and ammo now while they're reasonably priced and available.

...what will she have to do with waiting on the phone with the health insurance companies?

planters wart? so THATS what I had a few years ago... I ended up taking a pocket knife and digging out around it and pulled the thing out with a pair of small pliers ( you can work pliers around it in the skin ) hurt like a ***** getting the pliers in.

Hasn't come back since?

My best friend has had Kaiser forever & she hates it. I guess it has it's pros and cons but I've heard it's really really expensive, and if you don't live near one of their offices it's kind-of inconvenient seeing as you can't just go to any doctor, it HAS to be at a Kaiser center, and same with prescriptions, etc. Then, when she got pregnant, Kaiser kicked her off of their insurance. I just thought that was kinda crappy.

I have United Healthcare and I like it a lot.

Yeah, and I second what the person above me said about Hilary Clinton. If she wins, imagine all the hours you will spend on hold while all the millions of illegals and homeless people are in front of you in line going to the same doctor you are because it's free!

I have Kaiser also...Wish my employer would go with another HMO/PPO provider. I miss Blue Cross/Blue Shield....

I've hated Kaiser from the start. My son had chronic ear infections last year and they didn't refer us to the Ear/nose/throat specialist until after the fourth/fifth visit. I should also mention that a majority of their staff are not fully licensed Doctors and it iggs the hell out of me that when you're in for a visit they're on the computer longer than they are checking up on you. Hell, I always conduct my research online prior to me arriving, I expect them to know. For a month straight my son cycled on and off of fevers and was unable to go to childcare, and his mother and I took turns staying home from work. When he was finally referred, his hearing was well below the norm and talk about pissed & terrified. We were gracious that his hearing returned to normal after the myringotomy.

Not to mention the countless times both my boys have had various viral infections caught from school or daycare... The Kaiser peeps do there thing on the computer for 10 - 15 minutes. Then they turn and say, "It's just a virus going around." Duh, no shiat.... Then send them home and say bring them back if the symptoms continue after 2 days. Bastards could of told me that over the phone and saved me from making numerous copayments.

The only thing I praise them for is whatever medicine they have that stops my youngest from puking. He's had some virus twice in which he continuously upchucks like a scene from 'The Exorcist'.

I could go on and on about them and I've only been with them for 18 months now. However, with kids - self funded health care is not an option. So I'll continue to put up with it and pray.

eww...that sucks. i would have said **** it and cut it off myself..... . they messed my mom and bro. up really bad. they misdiagnosed an upper-respiratory infection that i had, and i couldnt shake it for 6 months, even with "treatment" i finally got a second oppinion and it turned out to be something totally different. i was put on meds for 14 days and it cleared up completely.

about the meets....DUDE i'm in FLORIDA!!! i sooooo want to come to a meet. i havent been back in atl for like a month almost, probably will come back for a visit after thanksgiving, and maybe back for good after christmas.

its warmer over here, but damn i miss Gwinnett.

its kinda bitter-sweet, cuz the moto scene over here is huge, and ive always been into bikes, ive just never had the b.alls (haha, never really WILL now that i think about it  ) to get one in atlanta cuz i'm sure i'd die the way people drive up there. over here i'm really leaning towards it though...

No thanks. With the laser I was able to walk in regular shoes and socks within an hour after they zapped me... I couldn't even do that when they froze the **** outta my foot, man...

Wow, I'm sorry to hear of your situation with them. And seeing as he's your child...I can't really even imagine.

Hmm...well that's gay that you're gone. But seriously, you should try to come up for the meets. Or at least post more in the section. We're trying to get more members to be more active because come right after the new year, some of the big dogs are leaving. I'm leaving with the Marines, Dare is moving...somewhere, and JFRO will be going off with the army. We're having a holiday outing, too, this year, in hopes to get the close part of the squad just a little bit closer before some of us head off... Hope to see you in there, more! Or at least keep up to date with what's going on!

As for Florida, though...that's where I was born. I miss it. My (now) ex moved down there and I would visit her while we were still together. I think I more enjoyed being down there cuz of the temperature than for her, LoL.

As for the scene...I'm quite aware...and damn I miss it...

Finally, as for my finger...HA! I'll tell ya what...when you cut your finger off like a big girl...I'll offer my hand. But until then...laser for me...

oh, and just outta curiosity...did your AIM name used to be something similar to your username on IA? I think I may have spoken with you quite a while back...
