I was trying my best to stay away and not view the '08 Suzuki's, but damn if I didn't click on a link displaying them. Fvck me, they got all black too....
Even though the power was a bit down from the liter bikes I had ridden previously, I really enjoyed riding my most recently owned '05 & '06 GSX-R 750's. However, on the contrary I've been itching to mount a ZX-10 for years and now that I'm able to I don't know if I can resist the temptation. I started on Kawa's and really want to get back on one. Funny that a few years back, it was the other way around. I really wanted a GSX-R to see what all the hype was about and even briefly owned a CBR 1000RR during the transition. The only brand I haven't owned is a Yamaha. I don't believe in riding other folks
Perks on the GSX-R are that it now has electronic steering dampening, SDMS engine/ignition management, the factory adjustable rearsets are awesome (experienced these on the '06), and of course the ***** is light as hell. If the ZX-10 comes in the 37? weight range, I'll take it hands down. Another kicker though is that the aftermarket and/or replacement parts realm for the GSX-R is far more available than the ZX-10. However I don't anticipate anything more than frame & spool sliders, slip-on exhaust, dbl bbl windscreen, matching leather jacket & gloves. I'm going to start hitting a few dealers to get familiar with the staff. If I buy a new bike I won't freebies too (i.e. free gear). Dislikes: GSXR's come a dime a dozen.....

Perks I like on the ZX-10: factory painted/powder coated levers, rearsets & passenger pegs, aggressive stance & supposedly comfortable ergonomics, Pirelli Diablo III tires (the best), now has gear indicator, advanced ignition management (makes it more rider friendly) and of course brute power. If it had integrated tail signals, it would be perfect. Dislikes: Bastards haven't even foretold the full specs/details yet.
Regardless of which I get, the hideous exhaust will be the first to go... Release dates may also deter my selection. It's been 3 months now and I'm lusting for a two wheel fix :screwy: I feel like a kid on Christmas Eve, but the release date isn't foreseen.
My bike history:
'98 ZX-6R (totaled on Hwy 60)
'03 ZX-9R (Sold)
'04 CBR 1000RR (Sold)
'05 GSX-R 1000 (Sold)
'05 GSX-R 750 (Crashed & Sold)
'06 GSX-R 750 (Sold)
