I've only had them for like 2 months, and I'm already tired of their $hit. Shoulda just stuck with Regions maybe, they're small but atleast they give a damn about the customer.

been with them for 8 years never had a single problem... customer service is generally for people who have needy tendencies... they've always been good with me no worries

apparently i have a new account, so every deposit i make is "subjected to a a hold"... they won't f&cking let me access any of my money intil friday the 16th (two weeks after the deposit was made)..... how the hell am i supposed to buy gas and food? the deposit has cleared on the other side, but i can't access my money for 2 f*cking weeks. I'm not the nagging customer type, but that is some $hit to call customer service about.... these people suck.

great experiences with bank of america...
got stuck in a jam and had over drawn not realizing... deposited a check that i needed to pay bills with... and the over draft fees ate up the check.. i went in... they waved the over draft fees... credited my account so that i could pay my bills... guy i worked with was awesome.... (i did have to pay some overdraft charges of course but not what it was originally)

something isn't right there...
they normally credit a certain amount of the deposit to you right away... not all of it.. but a large sum... til they deposit clears... which has never taken more than a couple business days with me...

Have you been depositing checks from Nigeria?

do what all the smart people do. CASH EVERY check! it takes 2 minutes more maybe! no more than that... and it goes in instantly! no waiting... i've been doing it for years... they don't hassle you and you're money is there instantly none of that waiting on checks to clear BS

LOL... no checks from Nigeria! Just a regular ass check from wachovia... it has already cleared on the wachovia end (i checked with the issuer who wrote it) but BOM wont gimme my damn money until friday. they debited the check amount (or put a "hold" on the check as they call it) 5 DAYS AFTER the check posted to my account! so now my account is overdrawn! which never happens to me... im so mad. i have no money until friday. not even gas money. these fools wont even give me a small credit. the lady i talked to was a total b*tch. maybe i should have talked to someone at a branch instead. In the future, I will do as PureJDM says and cash that shyte before i deposit.
i wanted to go have a beer tonight, but now i cant, since all i have is the 14 dollars in my f*cking wallet to last me til friday. AGH!

I actually had a problem with them about 3 years ago when I booked a hotel stay for Daytona Tuner Bash at the Plaza hotel through hotels.com. Everything was fine until I left the hotel and was told their was a parking fee for each night. It was the end of the week and I was out of cash so I paid for it with my Bank of America card. The only receipt I signed was one for $35, however, when I got home and checked my account, they charged the $35 charge and then a separate $1,550. I freaked out and spent three months fighting the charge stating that the hotel was paid through hotels.com. I submitted receipts and lost the investigation, being out the money. The Plaza stated that I signed a card when entering the hotel stating that any additional damage or fees are my responsibility on the investigation, they stated that the difference between the regular price of the room and the discounted rate I paid at hotels.com is a fee I am responsible for. Bank of America sided with them. I switched all of my accounts from them and would never go back! A little different then your experience, but nonetheless terrible service by the bank.

Dan has been with them since he was 15 (he's almost 30). He has nothing but problems. Very impersonal and horrible customer service. Dan has an amazing credit score and has several bank accounts with an ok sum of money in all of them. They were terrible to him when he applied for a small business loan (the thing that sticks out to me the most). They set him up with some 20 year old punk as his SBA adviser. He ended up using Cornerstone Bank for that. They were awesome. The only reason he doesn't move all of his money out of there is because the merchant services have same night deposits and we can find a bank anywhere in our travels. Otherwise he would have dumped them a long time ago.

I'm with BOA for the moment, but that is coming quickly to an end. I also had that same problem with them. I usually cash my check but one week I was unable to make it so I just deposited it. released the money to me, 2 days later put a hold on it, and I had a rent payment do. What did BOA do? Not a damn thing. Needless to say I'm going to be done with them soon, I just haven't gotten around to it. Now that I remember...I may do it monday.

damn... thats serious! did you go ahead and switch?
they gave my money back yesterday, along with 3 overdraft charges (wtf?). I called and talked to them and they promptly took the charges off. This **** better not happen everytime... not worth it. BOA sucks.

i used to work on their atms, drive equipment, s/d locks, etc. during that time, i learned a lot about the company. i advise not to do business with them.

only good thing with them is the keep the change program. They involuntarily raised my credit limit without my approval. BOA had me ****ting bricks cus i thought Identity theft was going on. Has that ever happened to anyone?

I've also been with them for two years and I like them. I over charged over my balance once and owed like $85 dollars, but when I went up there to see if they could do something they dropped it all and they said don't worry. Pretty nice of them.
