A lot. A GLS is just a regular Jetta. It's usually a 1.8t but can be cloth, leather etc. It looks like pretty much every jetta you see. A GLI(04.5+) is a 1.8 turbo, has 18 inch BBS wheels, Recaro Seats, painted front and rear lip, side skirts, 6 speed transmission. A 01-03 GLI also is 6 speed, but its a VR6 engine, and it looks like pretty much any old jetta with a few extra standard features.

(I am assuming you are talking Mk4's.)

You forgot to mention that the Early mk4 GLI VR6 is the 24V, the same engine as the R32. Not the regular old 12V VR6

Def. get the GLI. If you get an 04.5+ you wont regret it.

As for the GTI, it's a two door hatchback, it has either the vr6 or the 1.8t, different tail lights, nicer interior standard(the cloth used is better than in base jettas and base model golfs).

I'm not trying to insult you, but he has to be talking about Mk4s because none of the previous generations had both a GLS and a GLI model. :goodjob:

i'd get the 01-03 for the 24V V6 and then twin turbo that *****!!!!!!

make sure you got deep pockets though.
