Any stock 350Z's/G35's want to run?

Had a couple runs with my buddy in his '07 6spd 350Z this weekend and was pretty surpsied from the results. He only pulled one car on me from a 20-100 roll, and didn't even pull it until about 85mph. From a dig, I took him by 2 or 3 CL's until about 110mph, when he lost control and may have totalled his car. He's ok, but his 350's probably done for. The only reason I took him from the dig was because he's awful at launching, he burned all through 1st and barely hooked into 2nd. I know his car's faster and should've tore me up from a dig, but the 20mph roll really surprised me.

Anyways, if there are any stock/near stock 350z or G35 owners here that wanna do a few runs with a near stock (catback exhaust, minor weight reduction) E36 M3, lemme know. Other cars are welcomed, too, but please don't waste my time and have a fairly even car to run, not interested in walks.

Based on him talking **** about my M3 ever since I got it and him being a a bad driver from digs (And obviously taking turns at high speeds), I'm just curious how I'd stack up against a good driver in the same kind of car.

He wasn't even upset about it, got out of the car without a scratch on him.

Maybe, maybe not. I'm not focused on straight line mods with this car, suspension is more my thing. And with the exception of an M50 manifold, 3.5" intake setup, and tuning of some sort, I'm not planning on many mods until I figure out whether I want to go FI or not.

in the 03/04 defense my car puts down more trq then the the 07 has horses....and we all know hp looks good on paper but tq wins races...

the 07 is better up top buts its like a nissan s2k, it revs higher allowing for more hp but the higher airflow and some other aspects decrease tq. Even 07's with the same mods as me have 20 to 30 ft lbs tq less then my 03. and the e46 has a launch controller similar to a two step, that makes a few tenths of a seconds difference.

Stock weight is right around 3150lbs, without driver. I have ~100 lbs reduction.

Stock crank HP is 240.

red star got 40 more hp outa my car then top speed did from a base map of zero.....all top speed can get was 7hp/5tq, but he tuned on maf voltage and not a wide band...eli used a wideband and actually did more then 5 pulls with my car, and also fit my timing for my car, not like what doug did and tried to boot leg a tomei cam map on my car...at least rename it dude?!?

tiger you have to look at it this way too....the afr after doug tuned it was 14.5 until 4k then 11.5 until redline....eli took that line to stay around 13.2 which is prime for a n/a z....in addition the car was running on a stock map, or map zero, until it was tuned so of course you will see gains like that with correction like that needed.........collins saw about the same gains in his goat with less mods then me (and yes i know it has greater displacement)

I don't say I'm an expert at the VQ but I know for a well known fact that it's virtually impossible to get that much out of it with bolt ons + even tuned. Unless your car had a really really really bad baseline tuned to compared with.

I've spent thousands on my NA mods, tuned and I barely squeezed an extra 25whp out of the car (on Dynamic Dyno). That includes full Intake, ported plenum, ISO thermal spacer, MREV2, headers, True dual 2.5" custom headerback, UR pulleys, and UTEC tuned by one of the best VQ tuner in the country, Sharif at Forged Performance.

My Topend Sucks, but I did get a FATTY gain across the line.

Theyre not my shop. And about my evo being down......LOL your a fu.cking idiot! Its been down ONCE. And that was only because of the stock clutch going out. I'll PM you my MAP this weekend, don't have the dyno sheet anymore. :( I remembered making 239whp on his DynoDynamic. If that shop you suggested is indeed good, I want to give them a try.

I'll get you the MAP, we'll set up a date. I'll let your shop tune my car with your baseline and dyno. I'll get the new Dyno again at FP. This will be done in one day, so we'll limit as many funky factors as necessary. If you shop can squeeze out extra 10whp out of my car when we compare my new dyno at FP vs his old stored numbers of my last tune there, I'll gladly pay the price. If not, can the shop cover the cost of my dyno at FP as well as waived the cost of dyno/tune my car at your shop?

Theyre not my shop. And about my evo being down......LOL your a fu.cking idiot! Its been down ONCE. And that was only because of the stock clutch going out. But at the same time i chose to get a built tranny. So its been down once and for a long time since all that stuff cost a sh.it ton of money. As for me being fat. BI.TCH! I'll PM you my MAP this weekend, don't have the dyno sheet anymore. :( I remembered making 239whp on his DynoDynamic. If that shop you suggested is indeed good, I want to give them a try.

I'll get you the MAP, we'll set up a date. I'll let your shop tune my car with your baseline and dyno. I'll get the new Dyno again at FP. This will be done in one day, so we'll limit as many funky factors as necessary. If you shop can squeeze out extra 10whp out of my car when we compare my new dyno at FP vs his old stored numbers of my last tune there, I'll gladly pay the price. If not, can the shop cover the cost of my dyno at FP as well as waived the cost of dyno/tune my car at your shop?

I'm a very fair and Biased person as I can be. I'll vouch for whoever gets the job done. Whoever can make it work, gets my $$ and trust.

I'm not asking them to do free. :no: I'm asking if they can get extra 10whp out of my car by retune what Sharif did, I'll gladly pay. But if he can't, then he shouldn't charge me for it. What about it is a lot of shop tuned the car, then inflate the dyno numbers to act like there's a lot of gain. I know that mine sounds dissapointed, and I was, but that's the best I could get out of it. :( Many other reputable shops tried to tune my car, and they couldn't even get 5whp out of it. That's why I was very skeptical about a non VQ orient shop that tried to tune the car. FP was the only shop that could squeezed out 13whp after tuned. (the 25whp I talked about was compared to my car as stock. 13whp was before and after tuned, after modded.)

I agree that FP is much more expensive. :( But I've seen their work and they stood behind it. :goodjob:
