Idea: EF Squad Holiday Meet?

Well, gentleman, Alan and I were talking last night and threw around the idea of some sort of holiday meet. I know it'd be semi-rushed seeing as the holidays are quickly approaching, and everyone's schedule is filling. We originated a New Years idea, but that's one night out of the entire year, and I'd imagine several of ya'll have already thrown together plans...so we considered some sort of holiday meet.

Why? We're the EF Squad, and several of us are more like family than like friends/"some car club". Dare's formed some sort of family-like bond with just about everyone that is noted in the squad in the forums, I've bonded with dare, jermain, jfro, cato, alan, and a few others. Guy knows every person with paint on their car...and the southside out there in c-vill seem to hang pretty tight. Why not throw the idea of a holiday get together? It seems after the new year, many people are going to be off to bigger and better things...I think it's a ****ing fantastic idea...

So what do ya'll think?

My thoughts were that, yeah, a meet at a restaurant would be cool, but I think it'd be more fun and personal to get together at someone's house if they've got a big living room or something along the lines thereof, have people bring in some food items...or possibly get a big back-room in a restaurant. I mean apparently there was a great time had at cici's and the pizza place of the summer meet, but I think something closer and away from distractions would be more personal. In addition, I wouldn't call it required, but this could be something everyone could bring their girls/fiance/wives to.

So what do ya say? Shoot for mid-to-late december? Throw a holiday theme to it?

Let's quickly throw down some thoughts, opinions, and ideas so we can maybe make this thing happen...

Not bashing QD at all. The man is a busy man. I've had words with him before (not fights...not even bad. Just...we've talked)

Getting a back room at a restaurant isn't at all expensive...just as long as everyone eats there...you don't check restaurants much, do you, LoL. Either that or I've just been into the "big group gatherings/outings" for way too long...

Up here on the NORTH side...using someone's house for such an event isn't considered strange. You southside people are weird...

We might can use my living room or something...I just don't know if it's big enough depending on who all is in attendance. Hard's house, on the other hand, may do the trick. Plus he's got a pool table and ****...

I'll probably end up planning it...and I'll DEFINITLY keep that in mind. I haven't looked at what day the 17th is...but I was thinking somewhere right around it (if it's not already a friday or saturday...) So you're still in the good.

Yeah, you're south side...you're south of atlanta, LoL. Even though you're ALWAYS up here. With the big gatherings...I've hosted parties, both 21st and others...and several other outings at my house. I've only once had stuff go missing. I'm usually pretty good about hiding the valueable stuff, LoL.

Well unfortunatly I had to miss this past weekend's meet. So this sounds like a good idea. Hopefully it will be north of Atl., but i'll try to make it either way. :goodjob:

Then we'll have a small wild wings meet (the big dawgs, usually, are the ones who make the final call) to figure out date and how to pull it off. We welcome everyone to come...but usually people don't since it's not an official meet. They date (if it happens) WILL be just shy of the 20th for JFRO.
