My new system is scoring about 10% lower on 3Dmark compared to my old one.

Old: AMD 3700+ overclocked to 2.5ghz
DFI lan party ultra
1gb g-skill PC3200
E-vga 7600gt
Running XP

New: AMD 4000+ @stock 2.6ghz
Asus MNE2
2gb OCZ Reaper 6400
E-vga 8600 gts
Running Vista 64 bit

The new system should be doing noticably better :???:

help = reps

thanks in advanced

are all of the options on? anti aliasing, shaders etc?

What version of 3dmark are you using? The new build should blow away the other one. You have 2x the pixel pipelines, waaay faster ram, faster processor, its a no brainer its going to score better. Somethings def wrong.. .try using the newest version of 3dmark, i'm guessing its some sort of odd vista compatibility issue

Do you have the latest drivers for your videocard?

Vista most likely the problem. My old system ran higher vs the new one with vista. However I like vista more anyhow, and 3dmark score don't mean crap.

Vista is the problem, no doubt about it. Vista does **** for gaming/graphics performance.

Most likely windows fault, which you can do nothing about it. Dual boost your computer to XP and Vista if you love vista that much and you want to have better performance on games.
