and it was alright.
But I would have liked it alot more if all the car scenes didn't play out like generic overly dramatic GM car commercials.

I never took the time to go see it and threaters and saw it about 2 weeks ago. I absolutely love that movie. It starts out very cheesy and immature and gets really badass.

i have it on HD DVD. win.
Saw it in theaters and thought it was mediocre at best. Weak attempt at hiding terrible writing/directing behind impressive action sequences and wonderful CGI.

Best movie i have seen in a long time. They had some of the throwback lines that i remembered as a kid, and hearing Optimus voice sent shivers down my spine.
If only Starscreams voice had not died :(
THe second one is rumored to have Unicron (OH SNAP)

The movie was really cool IMO. The ending was so so, could have used better characters tho.

Sorry, I enjoy watching movies that are at least half-intelligent, not mindless action. I was ready to leave T-Formers within 30 minutes of it starting.

Deffinately my favorite movie, but then I was a big Gen1 transformer fan myself. Personally I dont think they could have done the movie much better without making it either to fake looking or to far from the originals. I do wish they could have used the original Megatron and starscream voices though. I read that the actors have all signed for 3 movies, and Bay even said 5 were a possibility if the first sequels do well. Like Mr. Kidd, Hearing and seeing Optimus gave me chills, so they way I see it the more the better.:goodjob:
As far as GM's presence, if you watch the extra stuff on the special edition dvd it shows Bay talking about why. He originally wanted more transformers involved but the cost was already reaching its limits early in production. GM sponsered the movie and helped with the costs. I may like GM, but I normally wouldn't have liked such a biased presence of any manufacturer either if it wasn't for the fact that GM helped make the movie what it turned out to be.

To the 75% of males in the U.S. that have some kind of history with transformers there was a lot more to it than the action. The plot could have been better, but why would you go to an action movie expecting them to fill the time with more storyline and less action?:goodjob:

dont go to an action/special effects movie to see deep plots.
I wasnt dissappointed when i saw The Pursuit of Happiness and didnt see at least 1 explosion/firefight.

I was a transformer fan as a kid, and ditto on feeling all sorts of reminiscent upon hearing Optimus's voice. Still though, GM should put a z06 in there, and had it really tear some **** up.
