VooDooXII
11-07-2007, 06:53 PM
I hope they invested in some chassis reenforcement too...I don't think the Prowler had a very solid platform.

11-07-2007, 07:01 PM
Awesome. My only gripe with the prowler is how under powered it is. I'm glad someone is taking care of it.

Ain't that the truth. It need a real 426 Hemi, not that new B.S Hemi.

The black one at Nopi?

Meeting those guys in Kennesaw was great. We screwed with so many cars that came into the parking lot.

so long as they get paid i bet they are.

with as tight of space as they are working in, where the hell are they gonna stick a intercooler. the radiator is sitting where the shocks mount up as is and the nose only gets smaller. they could do like what the audi tts have and do a dual smic setup

when you dont have a valid point on a car based forum its often easier to try to take a stab at someone elses car....which just shows your ignorance....its too bad we cant all have an uber elite celica :blah:

prowlers were yet another weak attempt to revive the plymouth nameplate, and to put out something decent, they failed. hell they didnt even release a 98 b/c the 97's sucked so much balls w/ that mad 215hp, and then tried to attempt it again in late 98, with what? gay auto stick manual shift? :lmfao: and even after they redid the suspension on those pos' they still rode like balls, handled like balls, and still were underpowered with the 300m 250hp v6....i mean seriously, youre gonna produce a car that looks like that and stick a family car motor in it? +1 for dodge

the prowler was designed for a yuppie going through a mid life crisis, much like the pt cruiser, who is looking for people to look at him at red lights....ask any prowler owner why they like the car so much and i can gurantee one of the first 2 things to come out of his mouth will be the amount of looks they get in the car....they just dont realize people are laughing inside b/c they got duped into yet another marvelous dodge product

VooDooXII
11-08-2007, 08:45 PM
They didn't make the Prowler with a 215 bhp engine. The 3.5 Liter V6 was the only engine released for it.

I love the Prowler. I think it's extremely stylish. Their biggest problem was bad build quality, and as you and I mentioned...grossly underpowered with no manual transmission available.

Hypno...don't wreck on the GTO! :D

Evil Goat
11-08-2007, 08:49 PM
they sure did, 97's came with an advertised 214hp, it wasnt until they rerelased the car in late 98 that it came w/ the engine shared w/ the 300m and something else, that made 250 hp

Hmm...I'm going to go look it up. That doesn't sound right to me.

EDIT: Never mind...you're right. Hah, I had no idea.

Either way the look of the car is unique. It may have an extremely under powered engine, but this one will be packing a 2j, so this one should have some go in it

Evil Goat
11-08-2007, 08:52 PM
ehhh.....i dont know why i remember that, b/c i hate the car, maybe it was b/c the first one i ever saw the guy was flaunting the fact that it had "200+ hp"

very true, ill admit the styling, for the late 90's, was radical, just wasnt my taste then, and i laugh every time i see one now....this one on the other hand....gets me back to my roots......."ill drive anything as long as its fast"

a big haulking V8 won't fit in the tapered V shaped Prowler engine bay. hence the 2jzgte.
