i like man vs wild, survivor man isnt as interesting. and survivor man seems less cut off from everything then mvw. yeah mvw has a camera man, but sm is always near something, like the the last one i seen he was pretty much just camping by some tribe, then stayed with them....dont see him parachuting to the middle of no where!

This is actually pretty much the inverse of the truth as Man vs Wild was admitted by the BBC to be a staged production whereas Les Stroud is entirely isolated and does his own camera work.

if you were in a survival situation and you found some "tribe", if theyre friendly, would you leave them???
not if you wanted to survive very long. (if you couldnt do it solo that is)

Survivorman is a little more realistic as far as what the average person could do.

MVW is realistic if you are ex-special forces.....

also guys, if you like Les's show you might like his youtube series "living off the grid"

as you can see its 10 parts, its really ****ing interesting

personally the 2 show, show 2 different things.

survivorman is as the show is titled, sit tight how can yous urvive till someone finds you.

and man vs wild is more about **** i pissed off the entire country no ones comign to find me so i ebtter find a way out.

2 different ways at surviving and 2 both very viable things.

As for MVW was said that it was partially staged, not entirely staged. He does do everything you see him do in the video's. Its just that in certain extremely dangerous parts like crossing a river full off aligators, they had rangers around to try and spot em incase. Also in survivorman his "safety" team is there and responds incase of emergency's also.

anyone with a brain know that not everyone will always survive in the situations presented by both shows, so I think they both do a good job of trying to show every scenario. and if you can make it through some of those great, if not then too bad.

I personally think if Baer GRills *spelling??* jumps into a freezing mud pitt in iceland just to show us how to get out, when he could have avoided it, let the man have a heater from his crew. He didnt have to. he could have survived by going around it, but he CHOSE to show us. Key difference.

Survivorman doesnt have much of a choice in what to do, baer can chose to do very very dangerous things just to show us. Hell all the epsidoes he ate bugs, he drank poop water and his own piss he actually did. They don't use the crew and assitance all the time like everyone thinks.

yeah it your lost and find a tribe to stay with, but he found a tripe then had them take him a mile up the river to be stranded....but like the guy said mvw is based on worse case scenarios of anything that could happen, sm is just a little different. either way i like them both

i love both shows. Baer Grylls is ex-SAS, which basically means hes a certified bad ass. the things he knows and was trained how to do, normal civilians, as well as people in the military even, dont have access to.

and for those of you watching the series, hydro bills are not water bills. its electricity.
