Just picked up a super clean 1985 Mazda RX-7 at a steal of a price, and wanted to share my plans for it. Future plans are Hotchkins springs and sway bars, a front facia, and some 15x7.5 20 mm offset Konig Rewinds. I'll keep an update going but all should be done by spring time. Wish me luck. Also, anyone with rotary/ 1st gen knowledge or reputable places to buy parts, please pm me, thanks.

Thanks guys. I'm planning on keeping the carb motor for now, b/c this will be my daily driver. My only issue is that I'm struggling to find parts for it, I'm used to an integra, which has more than enough aftermarket parts available. LOL. But this is proving to be a bit more difficult. Any suggestions? BTW, these are the wheels I'm planning on running.

wow, that car is in amazing shape. I'd love to have one in that kind of shape(especially a gsl-se). Mazdatrix always had a nice sized catalog of parts (in color!), and you usually can't go wrong with anything racing beat. There is another company that always sent me catalogs with aftermarket 1st gen restoration parts and few performance parts, but I can't remember now what the name of the company is. They may not even be around anymore. Try and find some mikunis, always heard good things about that setup.
Those rims should look good, GRM put them on a miata project IIRC.
nice man.. well keep me posted on it

HOLY CRAP THAT'S A GOOD CONDITION 7!!!!!! Sorry for all caps but that is really nice. Good luck with her and later down the road, a wide body 1st gen with a whale tail looks so awesome. Like a 70s race car.

(with wider tires than this of course, and no V8 swap)

Instead of the Konigs, get the real deal - Panasports. They are one of the few wheels made in your size, look just like the Konigs (Konig copied Panasport), and weigh next to nothing (very light).

that car wont do you any good.... its a 5 speed
Oh and to the OP.
Good luck finding wheels for it. Mazda decided on using 4x110 lug pattern. Luckily Konig was smart to make that bolt pattern lol. Not many other choices though.

Nice first gen man!!
The konigs or panasports are always a nice touch for those cars.
If you need used stock parts you can check out Mazmart.
Aftermarket there's Racing Beat and Mazdatrix as far as what i can think of right now.
Very nice though, don't see many like that around anymore :(

lol, I know man, but the reason I was going w/ the konigs is b/c thery are cheaper, $100 a piece for 15x7 vs $175 for 14x7 panasports. plus I'm not really concerned with the wheel weight.
