i've done this once or twice... the mall usually has a great selection... i usually go with white gold and an emerald or a sapphire... always makes a nice impression without fetching the diamond price

if there is a helzbergs' around where you live they usually have a good selection for a pretty reasonable price.

Dude......

that's not a promise ring you found...if it's got that much stuff on it, I'd say it's more than that.

I'm gonna go out on a limb here, both as the guy who married the daughter of a jeweler, and a guy who gave a girl a promise ring.

If you want to get married, get married.

If you want to get any girl a promise ring, take that money and give it to a homeless guy, throw a party, or buy some new tires....it's a waste in my opinion.

I bet if you google'd promise rings, you'd find a lot of people that would agree. I got married when I was 23 and if you want to, go for it....

But just reasonably speaking, I'd make fun of you if you were 16. I"m not doing that. I'm just saying do what you want...but if you really want to marry her, just go for it.

Good luck
