View Full Version : How *not* to make a road-side memorial ((pic))

Ruiner

Cliffs: car pulls out in front of another car and the passenger is killed. They put up a road side memorial for Taylor, the guy that was killed. This is in Suwanee at Peachtree Industrial and W. Price Rd.

Can IA spot the problem/mistake?

The memorial looks like something from a white trash museum?

Or does it have to do with the thing behind the signs?

"YOUR" should be "YOU'RE"

Eh I mean, he's clearly not still with them; but maybe their religious beliefs dictate that they pretend he is in spirit?

"YOUR" should be "YOU'RE"

Exactly. I mean, it is nice that you go through the trouble to make a memorial, but at least use the correct ****ING WORDS!

I suck at noticing typos.

It isn't a typo. They spelled it correctly. It is, however, a glaring grammar mistake. Lack of education, typically...

Yeah, something like that. I'm not sure of the details, though.

Other than misspelling is there anything else that should be noted? I would have done it differently but I don't see how it's that big of a deal. Certainly not big enough of a deal to take pictures, upload, and post on a message-board.... :???:

taylor burdette was a great guy he was a junior at north gwinnett highschool. i used to hangout with him all the time, he was making progress (according to his mom he was starting to walk and say some words) and i think he past away thursday morning from a blood clot. this isnt a joking situation so some of you imature f@ggots need to stfu. his buddy vic that was driving is being charged with his death...so think before you douche bags play around with stuff like this.

Tell me, what word is spelled wrong?

It's a failure to understand proper grammar. The spelling of the word (the wrong word) is correct.

Dude, you know WTF I was saying and now you're just being a douche. At either rate, it's not that big of a deal to take pictures of, upload, and post on this message-board. :goodjob:

"Their friend/family member died but I'm going to take pictures and laugh because of poor grammar"

I'm only laughing at the person with poor grammar. It's very sad that someone died and I don't find the death funny at all. I just find it humorous that someone made a sign that couldn't display proper grammar.

It's like having some guy write:

"Susan, will you merry me?" on a billboard or something along those lines.

I've had a lot of family members die (My Grandmother died today actually, and I will be headed to Florida for her funeral around 11 Am), but you don't see me bitching. Death is just another part of life; get over it.

somebody got left out of his grannies will LOL

Quattro - I'm sorry to hear that a friend of yours passed away :( I remember when a good friend of mine burned to his death in his truck in front of my neighborhood ( I even had pictures of the incident thinking oh cool, a truck on fire! and I didn't find out till later on that night that someone was in it and it was him :( )

LOL! Now that was a good, and definitely appropriate joke; ****less prick...

Actually I haven't spoken to her for years as I disapproved of some of the things she did to my mother when she was younger.

Also my dad died going chin first into a guard rail at 70+ mph, off Allgood road in Marietta 4 years ago, after accidentally dumping his Kawasaki Z1000. I spent about an hour or more standing in the dried blood he left all over the driveway, contemplating the meaning of life, death, and existence; and my overall place in the world.

But it is as I said before, death is simply another part of life. We can choose to accept that it's going to happen to all of us inevitably, or spend our lives living in fear of it.

I wasn't really offended, I was more or less pointing out the lack of tact and timing.

errrrrr... He died in a driveway adjacent to the road.

Apparently it's a deceiving corner, as it's claimed multiple other lives as well.
