Ok... SO i get home with the car yesterday and come to start it up and it wont turn over... It cranks with a weird sound like "whommm whomm whommm" but it just wont turn over.... EVERYTHING IS BRAND NEW!! So i checked the spark plugs and they smell a little like gas and were wet... Went and got some new ones and the car still wouldnt start... My battery is bad so i had it constantly connected to my girls Truck... ANy suggestions???

if the battery is bad then get a new one. if that does not work then check fues and grounds.

ur spark plugs are soaked in fuel? so no spark? check ur distributor, make sure it hasnt gone bad. easy way to see if u have spark, pull a spark plug wire out and stick it near something metal and try turning the car over. if it sparks on the metal, yea...if not. go backwards through the wires

how did you test your distributor. thats what sends the spark to the plugs. if your plugs aren't sparkin then your not getting power to them trace back to see where the power stops. when you find that you find the problem.

dont know if u got 1 or not but check the crank sensor or the cam sensor. both will stop spark. check your dizzy again make sure your coil isnt almost dead. i had a car i was workin on i had good spark with the tester spent all day on it finally changed dizzy out and fired up coil was on its next to last leg.

try adding grounds... use a jumper cable and clamp the motor with one end and clamp the chassis with the other end.

What about the timing?? Would it spark if one of my timing chains were broken??

Well here is the update- It was not the distributor-in a way- found out the timing chain sprocket for the first cam was out of the socket- timing chain is fine- the guy is outside now putting it back in place-
