This is how you do it. FWD needs the weight in the front of the car, and moving it to the other side of the car and to a location in front of the wheel helps to counter the weight of the driver.

Slightly smaller than stock battery, 34 series I think, good fittment, can get in and out w/o problem. Don't need to worry about jumping it off at the terminal, you can get to the lug on the starter now.

$20 worth of angle iron and a new battery cable and a little fabrication

Yes, that's the start of a cold air box

Good job, but I think you are better off putting it in your trunk. I mean you have to move it anyways...

I try to think outside the box. 95% of people relocate to the trunk. I weighed the pros and cons, and it ended up in the fender well.

Wow, good job man. lol I've never even thought about that being an option.

What exactly are the pros and cons to doing it that way?

What exactly are the pros and cons to doing it that way?

1. have to pull the bumper cover to take the battey out.

2. you keep the wieght over the front wheels, and add weight to the passenger side to counter the weight of the driver.

3. ever so slightly lower the center of gravity

4. I can put groceries in the trunk of the car, because after all this is a grocrey getter.

5. it's mad tyte JDM yo

it wouldve been better behind the wheel. you want weigh there so it follows the car instead of leading it. weight in front of the wheels = more understeer.

300+ WHP 300WTQ FWD car, big potential for understeer, torque steer, lots of different steers.

Making room for the cold air box and doing somthing different was the main point.

Just building and doing something different. I've got Ksports ordered and I'll be installing sway bars this winter. I'd like to start doing some road course and auto cross stuff next year.

well, if you autocross you will be in a mod class, and those cars are crazy.
but good job on the relocation either way. thats a pretty original and sweet thing.

With a little seat time I think I'll do ok.

Good stuff, hope to see some more of your custom fabrication man. L8r. Is that Mig Welded by the way ?

Big J

Yeah, mig. Underpowered welder and no metal prep, not the prettiest welds but they'll hold. That POS welder has made some cool ****.

You car would be in SM, which is a fun class and really diverse. You will be up against fully prepped STI's and bucket KA-T 240's with stock suspension, kinda strange...
