i was at the shop today to work on the teg but we decided to work on the project hatch instead so enjoy the pics and lets all help ben out on this project!!

You might be gone for 24 hours, but its still called a 2 day survey. (LOL the military is cool like that...)

The only way to have an actual 1 day MEPS(get there Monday and leave Monday) is if you've taken the ASVAB recently and don't need to take it again. (but then you'll miss out on the cot and a hot:lmfao:...inside joke, sorry)

My friend Keo(real name is to long to type) joined the army. When he got back from basic he was WAY to serious. Now when ever he wants to get something to eat, he says he "wants to get a hot". and when he's tried he "gets in a cot". I figured thats what he called it all the way through basic, trying to fit in. But he's in high school and says stuff like that. So we make fun of him, just to piss him off. He's just way to serious for being a student.

I guess you have to actually talk with him to see how funny and out of place he's speech is.:ninja:

ok guys back on topic now that we have a clear shot of bens car first thing is apperance we are looking for a color for it he is open to just about any color but i know he doesnt want to do the 2 tone thing anymore. After talking with me and bigdare at the shop the general way to go is something that pops but also doesnt attract too much attention. so post up some suggestions for him

UPDATE:

So I was doing some thinking. I came up with a color...not only a color, but an entire theme. I'm working on the small details...but ya'll gonna love this. It'll take the month to get everything done right, though.

Now just working to see what I'm gonna do about the motor and stuff. I'm highly considering throwing the b18LS in it, still, and doing some minor work on the head, but the rings are a little leaky. Not sure that I wanna be out of a car for that long... BUT...it would give me time to polish the block and hide some wires, maybe possibly. I just hate trying to stuff a b-series in there with AC...

lol its not really up to me at this point anymore it was a gift to ben for helping me out but if you want it i would talk to him as its not really mine anymore come up to the shop on tuesday and you can see it or ride in it if you like if you dont know what a ls feels like

but yea, i just rode in my buddy's HF crx, just swapped an Ls in it and i couldn't believe how quick it was. i want one in my hatch now....

Yeah, I went to MEPS today and was sworn in. I'll be selling off ALOT of stuff in the short time to come...

However, probably gonna keep the LS head from Jermaine's old LS. Gonna take it to the machine shop and go ahead and have it worked so it's ready to go when I do the work on the motor.

yeah he is ben is def not cutting any corners with this car as this is going to be his new DD/show car lol but its coming along nicely he is removing all the small dents in the last pic the color is being kept a secret so there might not be any picture updates for a while unless ben says its ok but the car is completly stripped at the moment

Pictures can be taken up to the point where she comes out in primer. Once that dries, the pictures that come AFTER that are what won't be allowed to be posted. Once the project is introduced back to the squad...then you'll see the many many pictures of all the labor and time and work that's going into this thing... Which reminds me. Next time you're up there, remind me to take you to the parts room to get pictures of the 3 stalls in parts I have lined up in there.

For an update, yes, the color and everything IS being kept secret. What I CAN promise you is she'll be a garage queen once she's done (moreso due to the fact I'll be overseas than to the fact that the paintjob is about a 7K$ job).

For a full list of mods and stuff...you'll have to sit tight til the project is released. What I will say is the project will have some ICE, a nice paintjob, and you'll think it's dark in the middle of the afternoon from the inside. From the outside, you won't note much more than a fancy paintjob and rims. Under the hood will be a little bit of a surprise, and she'll have the ability to be daily driven comfortably (AC/heat/wipers) with a modified interior, and two suspension setups...one for up in the mountains, and another for daily driving. In addition...you'll look this car over and see not an inch overlooked...

She's got minor interest in cars, and wants to learn slowly...the more she messes and talks about them, though, the more interest she builds. So...she's on the right track...just not my type.
