***HELP! Shift Linkage Issue!!!***

Yo... so... my shifter dropped today.
come to find out the two bolts that bolt the shifter to the chassis are GONE.
okay fine i always keep spare bolts so i put one in.

the other does not go in.
the bolt is fine but the hole is the problem.

what i need to know is, is there anyone that can rethread this hole so that i can get a bolt in there? cuz im just riding around with a linkage attatched to the chassis by one bolt. :eek:

is it striped? you can try to rethread it or get a longer bolt and put a nut on the top of it

on my way home i was thinking about getting a longer bolt and doing that exact same thing, but my question now is.... can u see that hole from the inside of the car? or is there a hollow space?

take the console out and you will see them under the carpet

ah ha! under tha fukcin carpet!
i took out the piece around the e-brake but not around the shifter cuz it got too dark.
ill mess with it tomorrow when i got some light.

You might be able to helicoil it...
