Death in the family

My "Step" grandmother died i think either last night or this morning.. idk the details...

all i know is for quite some time she has been not well. she had a stroke like 4 or more years back... I was pretty close to her.. but rarely see her cause she and my grandfather live in Michigan. so if you could keep the family in your thoughts/prayers....

i'm pretty down about this...

BUT what's worse is idk what to do about the funeral/memorial....

one i can't afford a trip to michigan by plane or car...
two my coworker is on vacation and i'm the only other employee...
three my grandfather was a huge part of my life and has blessed me with more than i could ever ask for so i want to be there for him if anything...

but the work situation and money situation really just won't allow it... so idk what to do...

it sucks to lose someone you care about... BUT i'm glad she's no longer suffering, and now my grandfather will be able to come visit.

he's in his late 70's if not somewhere in the 80's (sue me for not knowing his exact age!) and worked religiously until his retirement from ford this summer... he hired a sitter for grandma and was there with her every minute he wasn't working. he's the only reason she's made it this long. so i know he's gotta be very upset. and i wish i could be there for him... and i just hope he keeps it together....

I hate giving buddy passes out. Friends have been stuck in airports for several days trying to fly out, but it's slow right now and you may get lucky.
