Ok,

This car, a 1987 Honda CRX HF, has been for sale for a while. It has gone through a journey of part replacements. A month and a half ago or so the car broke while driving. It ran perfect then shut right off. So I tested for spark which was bad there was none, but gets fuel.

I started by switching the coil, no go. Then bought a new rotor, no go. Then bought a brand new distributer, with igniter and all, no go. The car does the same thing. So I took the valve cover off and got to looking around very closely. I determined that the cam gear spins, but spins like on the camshaft causing the shaft not to spin, which is not turning the rotor. This of course is preventing it from getting spark.

So basically it is not running, the key that goes in the shaft and gear is broken. That needs to be fixed ($2 or so from Honda), needs a new cam gear. That is what I know it needs.

The car itself has 120,000 miles or so. Tranny is a 5 speed which was rebuillt, new clutch added a well. Car sits lowered on stock torsion bars and GC coilovers on rear. Interior is pretty good. CD player added. All guages work. Body is only issue. Rust on driver side rear quarter panel, and slight surface rust on passenger door, very light though. Engine is stock. The car was bought from the origional owner, and A LOT of history is included, even the origional window sticker from 87.

For some info the car is carbed. A D16A1 bolts in with axles and all added. The setup can even be carbed for no wiring or the car can be switched to FI. Some other swaps include B16's, mounts are made for this swap.

ASKING $500 FIRM. WILL INCLUDE EXTRA SET OF WHEELS AND TIRES LIKE NEW TIRES.

Interested in any trades? I have a 96 Jeep Cherokee, that runs great. Only thing wrong with it is that it has some rear quarter panel damage. Damage does not effect the way it drives. I've been driving it for 3 yrs this way. Only thing I've had to do to it in 3 yrs outside of changing the oil is replace the battery. AC works, 5spd, no leaks, just ugly

to the top, and so you all know I am still messing with it a little. Cam gears are $50 from Honda, so soon I might slap a new one on clean it up and see if it runs. If it does the price will go up a little.

Once it's running you should have no problem selling it for $1K
