i'm wondering if any1 has an s13 hatch and has gotten a paint change or any1 who owns a paint shop can tell me how much it will cost to get rid of the red paint and get it black; how much it would cost to get it sanded down and get everything(engine bay, door jams, hatch etc.) that's red and visible painted black with clearcoat?

I asked a shop to repaint the same color for my coupe before. 800 will do all dents and 4 coats of paint.
If you bring your car the Macco, the paint job is 400, each dent is like 50, engine is about 100-200, door jams and hatch is another 100 each. Do not forget about prep work. It costs 250 if you are not doing it yourself. This is about 1200 already. If you looking at a better job though, a place does pretty good around Buford hwy called ABC would be 2500 as what I heard. I just never know taking off paint and complete repaint cost. If it is just for the outside, you should cost a lot less. But since you are asking about full car repaint, looks like you have to strip a lot of parts off before you can do it.

around 2500 for ABC on Buford Hwy. I recommend you go there, instead of cheaper ones.
The guy quote me 2500-3000 with body kit installed, molded and painted. And will also fix all dints.
Few people that i know done their body work there. A G35 with ken style body kit and lambo door, another G35 with Top secret front bumper, one S2000 with GP sport side skirt and rear valance, another S2k with cwest body kit, a S14 with Origin wide body and aggressive kit and a yaris painted pink. They all look really nice, no orange peels, and bubbles, or other defects.
I am planning to take my car there when I save up money. Don't go cheap with macco, and some cheap paint shop around town. Yes, they are cheaper, but they will take you more time and money to fix the problem later on.

thnx i have a friend with a 5.0 94 mustang and macco painted over all the trim and molding and also had very visible overspray on the cowl and vents. also they painted over the key hole like its part of the body and when he first turned the key in it it cracked and peeled where it seeled the gap between it and the door. never go to macco
