next time it cuts off, leave the key on and check the code, or is the check engine light going away after it cuts off

I was having a similar problem with my car but my gas guage would also drop to E then id have to give it a lil while and it would crank back up and my gas guage would go back to where it was. I was told its probably a ground or my main relay but replaced it and it still cuts off.

check ground wire by the thermostat housing.

Remove your knee bolster, and check right next to the steering column. In my EF it's right behind the hood release.

next time it cuts off hold the ign switch slightly forward and see if you get power, if so replace the electrical portion of ign. switch.

does it happen only with the car hot(operating temp), and do you have to wait for it to cool down or does it start right up?

it could be your distributor...it happened to me with my accord...i thought changing the cap and rotor would help but it didnt...it was my distributor...have a mechanic check it out....good luck!

could be a weak coil or a bad ignitor...remove your fuel rail and check for leaks, clogs, and then prime the injectors and see if you get fuel... if so check the plugs and wires to make sure you have spark.
