I have a couple friends who play religiously..seriously..one of my boys probably spent over $500 in the past month or so obtaining no profit. I never play because personally, I think it's a waste of money trying to get the jackpot.

Scratchoffs are retarted. If you play them over time, you will lose money, it's that simple. Probability > You.

/\/\ It is very true. Everyday, while working at QT people would buy multiple amounts of tickets, and the out come would be a profit of $0.

To be honest the only time it is worth playing scratch off tickets is the big ones, in which where you have to pay a lot of money.

EX. $20 and $10....

I on a personal level play only once in a while with the $20 tickets, I have made about $880 In the past 6 months. Yes I do keep track.

I agree! Scratch offs are a waste of money IMHO. You might as well just throw your money in the trash.

I'll buy one every once and a while (2-3 a month). You have to realize it's like playing slot machines. They only payback a small % of what they take in.

I buy scratch offs with a few bucks of change sometimes. I do not not do it often and only when I can spare some cash.

and more than once I pulled 50 dollar tickets spending only 2 dollars.

its so supposed to be a spontaneous holly shi!t I just got lucky type of thing.

Scratch offs pay back much less than slot machines. Some slot machines have up to 98% payback, people are still stupid for playing them, since in the long run you will always just lose your money.

Mindless gambling FTL.

Joseph you ignorant slut.

You can be a smart gambler with slot machines and come out winning. I always do.

With scratch offs though, there is something to them. Per roll there are a certain amount of winners. None usually being the big winner, but once every 160 rolls or however many makes sense to the fraction.

There are the numbers you can pay attention to and sometimes every other 7th or so is a winner for example. This being a winner of anything, not the jackpot.

You can also often tell whether a card is a winner based on the numbers they give you, if it is a scratch off with numbers on it.

I don't play scratch offs because I am aware of this information, but many others still do.
